When a 26 year-old, nice Jewish actress is offered the role of a lifetime, she hesitates. Haunted by the death of her childhood best friend, fearful of growing apart from her troubled roommate, and in love with the wrong guy, she can’t see her way clear to a future. But when a surprise visitor reminds her that the show must go on, she finds the courage to step out of the wings and into her life. At turns, hilarious and heartbreaking, STAGES is a deeply felt and imaginatively written examination of love, loss, letting go, and finding the next stage of your life. 3 women (1 African-American), 1 man. 1 set.
